Rev. Carrington Moore, Executive Director

Reverend Carrington George Moore is a distinguished pastor and executive nonprofit leader, celebrated for 18 years of dedicated service in community advocacy and religious practice. Throughout his career, Reverend Moore has passionately led transformative initiatives that revolutionize systems, cultures, and practices toward a more equitable future. His exceptional ability to galvanize justice-centered faith communities has significantly improved community outcomes. By promoting vocational pathways, enhancing self-determination among communities, and tirelessly advancing social justice, he exemplifies the essence of servant leadership.

Originating from Youngstown, Ohio, his background set the stage for his achievements. After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Political Science from Youngstown State University, Reverend Moore furthered his education at Boston University, where he obtained a Master of Divinity, focusing on Interfaith Dialogue, Peace Building, and Social Ethics as a Howard Thurman Leadership Fellow.

Acclaimed for his visionary leadership, Carrington has left an indelible mark on leadership development, interfaith dialogue, workforce development, youth engagement, and educational equity. His leadership in collective impact initiatives across Greater Boston has notably enhanced college access, established sustainable vocational pathways, and fostered greater equity within various institutions and systems.

Currently, he holds key roles as a board member in several organizations, including the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization, the Bethel Social Justice Institute, and Mosaic Interfaith Youth Action.

Carrington also serves as the Associate Pastor of Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Boston, Massachusetts, where he leads the Christian Education and Discipleship Ministry. He is currently a doctoral student at Union Theological Seminary at Columbia University in New York City, where his studies center on public theology and social justice. Living in East Boston with his wife, Schnelle, and their son, Langston, he remains deeply integrated with both his community and family, embodying the values he champions.
