Our outdoor service, common cathedral, is an accessible, inclusive, and lively celebration of scripture, inviting our congregation of unhoused and housed people to worship together.

No matter the weather, we begin with a meal service, where members of housed congregations from our partnering churches, from across New England, bring lunch to share with everyone. Shortly after we feed our bodies, we then, feed our spirits, side-by-side, in worship.

Participants regularly include individuals from traditional churches, folks with no church affiliation, tourists, visitors, local residents, and volunteers. We’ve welcomed college students, congregations of youth and adult groups from a variety of spiritual beliefs to join us for worship on the Common.
