Samuel “Sam” Monahan (He/Him) is a dedicated member of the Common Cathedral team, where his journey began as an intern in the fall of 2023. After continuing as a volunteer, Sam officially joined the staff in the summer of 2024. His commitment to building relationships and fostering community is rooted in a deep passion for social connection and service.

Originally from Stoughton, Massachusetts, Sam graduated from Stoughton High School in 2019. He earned his associate degree in Social Science from Massasoit Community College in 2021 and went on to complete his bachelor's degree in Sociology, cum laude, at Bridgewater State University in 2025. During his time at BSU, he was inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta, the International Sociology Honor Society, in recognition of his academic excellence.

Sam is especially passionate about getting to know people and hearing their stories. His genuine curiosity and empathy are at the heart of his work with Common Cathedral and his broader commitment to social justice and community engagement.
